We had the pleasure of hosting our first Brunch with the Bunny event and it turned out to be an extraordinary success, bringing together families, friends, and neighbors for a morning filled with joy, laughter, and of course, delicious food. We're so grateful to have partnered with the LCS kitchen staff to put on the event!
The cafeteria was adorned with pastel decorations, vibrant spring flowers, and charming bunny-themed accents at every turn. From the moment guests entered, they were greeted with the sights and sounds of a springtime paradise, setting the stage for a delightful experience ahead. No brunch would be complete without a delectable spread of culinary delights, and this event certainly did not disappoint. From fluffy pancakes and scrambled eggs with sausage and orange slices and mini muffins, there was something to satisfy every palate. And let's not forget about the sweet toppings – chocolate and caramel sauces, mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and whipped cream! The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, adding to the overall sensory experience. Mr. Rossi and the kitchen team arrived bright and early on a Saturday morning to cook these delicious foods! Apple juice, orange juice, and bottled water were generously provided from Pepsi. Of course, no Brunch with the Bunny event would be complete without a visit from the guest of honor himself – the Easter Bunny! One of the main attractions of the event was photos with the Bunny! We had a group of amazing eighth grade students who joyfully adorned the bunny costume! Children and adults alike eagerly lined up for the chance to meet and greet this beloved character, posing for photos and receiving festive treats and trinkets as tokens of the occasion. The joy and excitement radiating from the crowd were palpable as they interacted with the iconic symbol. Above all, what made this Brunch with the Bunny event truly special was the sense of community it fostered. Neighbors came together to celebrate the joys of springtime, forging new friendships and strengthening existing bonds along the way. Whether sharing stories over a leisurely meal or cheering on children as they participated in activities, there was a tangible feeling of camaraderie and goodwill that permeated the event, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. In the end, the Brunch with the Bunny event proved to be a resounding success, bringing smiles to faces and warmth to hearts on a beautiful spring morning. As families bid farewell to the festivities and departed with baskets full of memories, one thing was clear – this was a day to cherish and remember for years to come. Here's to many more joyful celebrations in the seasons ahead, filled with love, laughter, and the spirit of community.

On Friday, February 9th, we hosted the Someone Special and Me dance for preschool through third grade. These students were offered an opportunity to bring someone special to share their dance moves and activities with! And by golly, they showed off those dance moves! We had over 110 people in attendance!
This year's dance was particularly successful due to the amount teachers, parents, and even students who volunteered! There were students from grades four, six, and eight who joined us to decorate, oversee events, and clean up from the dance! We are so grateful for everyone who took some time out of their nights to help make this event a success! |
